What kind of questions can I get addressed?

You can get answers to questions related to any general Ob/Gyn or women’s health topic or concern.

What topics are off limits?

If it’s not related to an women’s health issue, my expertise is limited.  So, if you have a question about, say, a rash, an herbal supplement, a sports injury, or your toenail, I’m not your person.  I know what I know and I know what I don’t know and will immediately let you know if your concern falls outside my area of training.

What are examples of things I can ask about in a virtual consult?

From A to V: Adenomyosis.  Bacterial vaginosis.  Bartholin’s gland cysts.  Birth control options: pills, patches, Nuva Ring, Mirena, copper IUD, Nexplanon, Depo-Provera.  Cervical dysplasia.  Cystocele.  Endometriosis.  Exercise during pregnancy.  Fibroids.  Hair growth in places you don’t want it to grow.  Heavy periods.  Hormone replacement.  Interstitial Cystitis.  Kegels.  Libido.  Menstrual pain/irregularity.  Menopause.  Mirena/IUD’s.  Osteoporosis.  Ovarian cysts.  Painful sex.  Pap smears.  Pelvic organ prolapse.  PID (pelvic inflammatory disease).  Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.  Pregnancy.  Rectocele.  Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTI’s).  STD’s/STI’s (whether you are old school or new school, we can talk about sexually transmitted diseases & infections).  Urinary incontinence.  Vaginal discharge and all things vagina.

Where did you go to medical school?

East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine.  I was lucky to rotate through the Rural Primary Care Track in Mountain City, TN.
